Tata Motors has launched the Tata Safari Dark Edition in India at a price tag of Rs 19.05 lakh. The SUV is offered in XT+, XTA+, XZ+ and XZA+ variants.
The Tata Safari has joined the list of other models from Tata that were also introduced in Dark Edition variants. These include the Nexon, Nexon EV, Harrier and Altroz.
Tata Safari was previously introduced in Adventure and Gold Editions.
Tata Safari Dark Edition
The SUV has received some cosmetic updates making it distinctive compared to the standard version of the SUV.

It is wrapped in an all-black colour painted in Oberon Black, which provides it a premium feel. Piano-black trims have replaced the chrome elements, while the front grille and alloy wheels are done in charcoal black. Also, there is a Dark Edition logo in chrome on the tailgate.

Interior
The cabin has also received an all-black theme including a Blackstone Matrix dashboard and dark upholstery that includes a Nappa Granite Black colour scheme with Blue Tri Arrow perforations and Blue stitching.
The seats on both first and second rows are ventilated and the SUV also gets an in-cabin air purifier. There is an 8.8-inch floating island touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Car Play with WiFi connectivity.
Safety Features

Safety features include multiple airbags, hill hold assist, ABS with EBD, ESC and more.
Engine
The SUV remains the same as the standard variant mechanically with the same engine and transmission. The Power and torque output too remain the same.

So, it packs a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine capable of churning out 168 BHP and 350 Nm. The powermill is connected to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Price
The Dark Edition of the SUV has been launched with a price tag of Rs 19.05 lakh (ex-showroom).
