Several months ago, Tata Motors unveiled the Tiago EV, with a starting price of Rs. 8.49 lakh lakh (ex-showroom). Additionally, in just one month, Tata Motors took more than 20,000 reservations. Now that the Tata EV is being delivered, the manufacturer is aiming to accelerate production of the EV to reduce the waiting period.
It’s noteworthy to note that Tata has just just begun with the delivery of the long-range Tiago EV, which comes with a floor-mounted 24kWh battery pack. Customers will soon receive the 19.2kWh intermediate trim. Customers can select from the XE, XT, XZ Plus, and XZ Plus Tech Lux versions in five different colour schemes. There are three different charging options: a 7.2kW AC fast charger, a 3.3kW AC wall box charger, and a 15A plug-point.
Tata Motors completed the acquisition of Ford India’s Sanand manufacturing facility last month through its electric vehicle (EV) subsidiary, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited. In addition, every piece of real estate, including structures, tools, and equipment, has been acquired and will soon be renovated. Tata expects shorter wait times for its electric vehicles as its production capacity rises.
