Hyundai has revealed the facelifted versions of its compact models, the Grand i10 Nios hatchback and Aura sedan, on its social media channels and website before its full-fledged exhibition at the Auto Expo 2023. Both of these vehicles may now be reserved online for Rs 11,000 at any Hyundai dealer location in India or on the company website. At the Auto Expo 2023, the redesigned Grand i10 Nios and Aura will be formally unveiled, along with their prices.
Both cars have undergone major outward design alterations as a result of the facelift. First, let’s talk about the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios. This hatchback now sports a new front grille with an aggressive, partitioned design, new triangular daytime running LEDs, and air intakes on the front bumper. Along with new 15-inch alloy wheels and new LED tail lamps with a connected LED light bar, the Grand i10 Nios has been modified. Along with the previously available colours of Polar White, Titan Grey, Typhoon Silver, Teal Blue, and Fiery Red, a new paint shade option called Spark Green is also available. There are also two new dual-tone paint options: Spark Green with a black roof and Polar White with a black roof.

The front fascia of the new Hyundai Aura has also undergone a significant redesign. It now features a more upright nose, a two-part grille, a relocated Hyundai logo, and L-shaped daytime running LEDs along the margins of the front bumper. The Hyundai Aura lacks fog lamps, in contrast to the Grand i10 Nios. The new Aura’s side and back lines are unaltered, and the sedan’s 15-inch alloy wheels, Z-inspired LED taillamps, and boot-mounted spoiler are all still present. Another additional paint option for Starry Night is added to the upgraded Aura.
The redesigned Grand i10 Nios and Aura have the same interior design, but they have new upholstery, including leather-wrapped steering wheels, cruise controls, footwell lighting, and inner door knobs with metal finishes. Both vehicles come equipped with a 3.5-inch digital display in the instrument panel, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, a wireless charger, type-C charging ports, automatic headlamps, and a tyre pressure monitoring system. The updated models come standard with four airbags, ABS with EBD, and ISOFIX mounts for child seats; the top-of-the-line models also come with two more airbags.

No change in powertrain
The 1.2-liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine will continue to power the redesigned Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and Aura. This engine’s 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox options are available in both models, and it has a maximum output of 113.8 Nm and 83 bhp. Both vehicles will also be offered in CNG-powered versions, with the factory-installed CNG kit enabling the engine to produce up to 69 horsepower and 95.2 Nm of torque. The formerly provided 1.2-liter diesel engine and 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine are no longer available in the updated versions of either of these vehicles.
The modified Hyundai Aura will compete against rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Honda Amaze, and Tata Tigor, while the updated Hyundai Grand i10 Nios will compete against similarly priced vehicles like the Maruti Suzuki Swift and Tata Punch. At the 2023 Auto Expo, the prices of both of these cars will be revealed.
