There has been a severe speculation regarding the KIA EV-6 in the market for sometime but now KIA seems to have cleared all the ambiguities themselves as they started to take bookings for the car from 26th may and launched the much awaited EV-6 in June. All though according to reports the car would be completely Imported and would be an expensive affair only about 100 to arrive in India as if now.
As of now it isn’t clear which variant KIA would bring to the market but as it seems only the single fully loaded variant which is in sale in the foreign market would make it to India as well. The car has already been spotted several times in Hyderabad and other places as well.

Issues In New KIA Ev-6
But a recent video by on an EV -6 buyer form abroad has revealed a lot of the problems EV-6 buyers have been facing regularly. The user is from California and he uploaded a video about the problems he faced on his YouTube channel The Driver Download. The user faced a lot of issues, first as soon as he got the car he faced a issue with the heater unit of the car , he soon reported it to the local dealers and got it sorted. The PTC heating system in the car was at fault These complex PTC systems are a inherent part of EV heating systems they stand for Positive temperature coefficient heaters.
The user joined various face book communities of the EV-6 owners in America and a host of them faced the same problem plus the problem was also reported in European models. While the issue in the YouTuber’s car got solved on priority a few people reported delays in the rectification. The user also faced an issue with his meridian sound system which was then rectified by the manufacturer by a software update. According to the user the manufacturer initiated a recall for that issue in the amplifier but KIA never made it apparent to the affected buyers through their official correspondence.
This was also an issue reported on the facebook communities of EV-6 buyers , a lot of them faced this issues as well. The user also talked about other issues he has been facing such as the connectivity glitches through the proprietary app that KIA provides. He also reported how other owners were facing issues such as a slight vibration in the tires around 60kmph, actually the KIA EV-6 tires come with an foam trim installed in the tires that dampens vibration, it can dislodge itself under resistance and cause such issues. With the Kia EV-6 on its way to India would Indian consumers face similar problems , only time would tell.
KIA Ev -6 About launched in INDIA
The EV-6 to be first electric car from KIA to launch in India. The manufacturer announced that they will launch7 electric vehicles in India by 2027. Recently, they also announced a small affordable electric vehicle which could be the electric version of the Sonet compact SUV which we reported about. This is because the Sonet is currently the most affordable vehicle that KIA offers in our country, also KIA understands that a product like the EV-6 would never become amass product due to its high cost . It would only be a variant that would attract attention to bring people to the more affordable compact SUV EV’S KIA might bring in the market.

New Platform
The EV-6 is based on the e-GMP platform which stands for Electric Modular Global platform, the platform in its most basic form resembles a skateboard where the wheels are in all the four farther corners and the middle floor is used to store batteries which provides the car with low center of gravity as well. And since there is no transmission tunnel because the car has been developed as an EV passengers get more space in the cabin.
KIA EV-6 Design
The EV- 6 has gained so much attention in the past few months because of its dynamic design . While KIA has designed the car keeping the opposites united design language in mid the car simply looks phenomenal. Its slanted roof line as well as the aggressive posture and its ability to sit lower than the IONIQ 5 is well is way beyond belief. This probably is the reason KIA EV-6 manages better driving range than the IONIQ 5.
The international market version of the EV6 is sold as an all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive powertrain. There are two battery packs on offer, a 58 kWh one and a 77.4 kWh one. The rear-wheel drive 58 kWh battery pack has a WLTP-rated driving range of 400 km. The all-wheel drive 77.4 kWh battery pack has a driving range of around 510 km.
