After keeping the customers waiting for a good amount of time Mahindra has finally unveiled the new Scorpio officially , and the car looks like better version of the ongoing Scorpio , a version which has milder straight lines has bigger dynamics , and is much more butch and beefier. Mahindra also launched a special page for the Scorpio on their website and here are all the in detail vista’s of the car that were revealed.
Mahindra also revealed that they would launch he car next month on 27th of June , and the current model would still be sold under the moniker Scorpio Classic. The new car sis a departure from the old one with a new kind of styling as well as bigger dynamics, up front the car gets a new and improved air dam with the twin pikes logo, the side profile of the car showcases its length and longer overhangs while the whole car in-itself seems more wider and heavier. The front end also houses a pair of headlights with led inserts and a host of DRL’s. the bumper is a three part design which also has DRL’s on its either sides.
Overall, the new Scorpio-N has definitely swelled in size but still manages to maintain its towering posture. From the looks of the side profile, a pronounced bend in the window line at the second row is new sight and apart from that the side profile appears to be more sculpted. The 2022 model also gets a new set of turbine styled machined alloy wheels. For some reason, the company has not released any pictures of the rear but it appears that it will retain those signature vertical tail lamps but will be more modernized with LED lighting.
Mahindra as of now hasn’t released any new images of the interior and would surely do so in the future, but as of now we would have to rely upon the earlier leaked soy shots which revealed that the Scorpio would use a XUV 700 like instrument panel, with black accents running all through it. It will get a wireless charger and two USB ports, manual parking brake, two cup holders, dual-zone climate control, drive modes, Hill Descent Control, Traction Control, idle engine start/stop system, push-button to start/stop engine, rear parking sensors, LED lights for the cabin, sunglass holder etc. The rear occupants will get rear AC vents, blower controls and a USB port.
The car would be brought to market with similar power train as seen on the XUV 700, but probably the engines wouldn’t be tuned to that high capacity as they are for the Xuv A 2.0-litre mStallion turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine will be available. Meanwhile, transmission duties could be performed by a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed torque-converter automatic transmission. It will also have the 4WD capability.
