Mahindra and Mahindra has announced that it will launch nine new models in India by 2026. The auto major also announced its financial results for the fourth quarter of FY2021. The company recovered from a loss of Rs 3,255 crore in the same quarter a year ago as it registered a net profit of Rs 163 crore.
Nine new Mahindra models arriving by 2026
The new-generation Scorpio as well as the XUV700 will arrive in 2022, while the five-door Thar and the new Bolero will be rolled out between 2023 and 2026. All new models that will be launched 2023 onward will get electrified option. Moreover, the new XUV700 will also get an electrified variant.
Although the timeline is still unclear, most of them may arrive after 2023. Two new battery electric vehicles based on the Born EV platform will be introduced anytime between 2025-2026.
Also, the new generation XUV300 will come with an electrified version. In short, three new SUVs with a ladder-on-frame platform, four new models with two different types of monocoque platform, and the two BEVs will arrive in the market by 2026.
Mahindra has also revealed that it will invest Rs 9,000 crore in the automobile business between 2022 and 2024. Approximately Rs 6,000 crore will be provided for ICE automotive business and Rs 3,00 crore for electric vehicles.
