August 2021 will mark the arrival of several new cars in the Indian market – from facelift models to much-anticipated SUVs like the Mahindra XUV700.
Let’s have a look at the cars that are expected to be launched or unveiled in August 2021.
As mentioned earlier, Mahindra XUV700 is one of the much-anticipated vehicles. The Mahindra XUV500 successor will take on the likes of Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar and MG Hector Plus.
Mahindra has so far provided glimpses of the SUV in teasers, while a recent leak had completely revealed the vehicle. The XUV700 may cost somewhere between Rs 16 lakh to Rs 22 lakh. So, Mahindra may unveil the SUV this month.
Honda Amaze Facelift
The second-gen Honda Amaze is receiving its first facelift ever. There are no details available about the changes so far, but most of them could be cosmetic with some added features.
Currently, the Honda Amaze comes with 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options. The expected price is Rs 6 lakh to Rs 10 lakh and the new car will compete with Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura, Ford Aspire and Tata Tigor.
Volkswagen will launch the Volkswagen Taigun based on the MQB-A0 IN platform. The SUV will borrow its features and specs from its sibling – the Skoda Kushaq. The car will come with two turbo-petrol engine options – 115PS 1-litre TSI and a 150PS 1.5-litre TSI.
Expect the price between Rs 10 lakh to Rs 17 lakh. The Volkswagen Taigun will rival Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, Kia Seltos and Nissan Kicks.
Tata Tiago NRG
The NRG is basically a crossover version of Tata Tiago. Temporarily discontinued in 2020, Tata Tiago is making a comeback with a BS6 1.2-litre petrol engine.
It will also receive some major changes. The price may range from Rs 5.29 lakh to Rs 7.25 lakh. Maruti Suzuki Celerio X will be its key rival.
Force Gurkha 2021
Force Gurkha 2021 is another much-anticipated vehicle. Showcased at Auto Expo 2020, it may arrive this month. In terms of design, it will look similar to previous model and may come with a BS6 version of the same 2.6-litre diesel engine.
Force Gurkha 2021will be at loggerheads with the Mahindra Thar and will be priced Rs 11 lakh to Rs 14 lakh.
