A total of 126 percent growth has been recorded by 11 automobile companies in their sales during March this year.

The automobile companies, which control around 99 percent of the domestic market, sold 315,946 units in March this year.

Popular carmaker Maruti Suzuki’s domestic sales grew by 92 in March this year. The company sold a total of 146,203 units which constituted 92 percent sales growth for the company. Besides domestic sales, the company’s export volume also increased by 146 percent. It exported 11, 597 units in March this year.

Hyundai Motors

Hyundai Motors secured 100 percent domestic sales growth. The company sold a total of 52, 000 units in March this year. The export volume of the company also grew by 101 percent to 12, 021 units the same period.

Tata Motors

The homegrown automobile manufacturer Tata Motors sold 29,654 units in March this year. It constituted a total of 422 percent sales growth for the company. The company also sold 705 units of Nexon during the same.

South Korean brand Kia Motors secured a 123 percent growth in sales by selling 19, 100 units in March this year. The automaker had sold 8, 583 units in the same month last year.

Mahindra & Mahindra

The SUV specialist Mahindra & Mahindra recorded a growth of 435 percent in domestic market sales. It sold 16, 643 units during in March this year.

Toyota Kirloskar

Toyota Kirloskar Motors achieved 114 percent increase in its domestic sales. The company sold 15, 001 units in March this year. The company had sold 7, 023 units during the same month in 2020.

Renault

Renault launches Kiger subcompact SUV in India

French carmaker Renault secured 278 percent growth in sales in domestic market. It sold 12, 356 units as against 3, 269 units sold in February last year. The delivery of its latest Model Kiger to the customer was started by the company in March.

Honda

The sales of Honda cars grew by a 92 percent to 7, 103 units in March this year. The automaker had sold 3, 697 units in the same month of the last year.

MG Motors India reportedly secured its highest-ever monthly sales with 264 percent growth in March this year. The company sold a total of 5, 528 units of its cars. The company had sold 1,518 units during the same time in 2020.

Nissan Motor

Nissan Motor India witnessed a 386 percent rise in its March sales. It sold a total of 4,012 units as against 825 units sold in the same month of the last year.
