People still prefer the vehicle as a passenger vehicle as well as a commercial vehicle.

Changes

The Eeco had better dynamics than the Omni which mad it a better driving car than the Omni and the car continued to sell in decent number even till the recent months when Suzuki issued a  recall for the vehicle because of an manufacturing issue. Maruti Suzuki is expected to pull the plug on Eeco by the end of July and launch the new Eeco by the festive season. Current model is rudimentary in its build and design and feels the same way on the inside too. Basic features like power-steering and steering height adjustment are given a miss too. Even AC is optional in some variants. In terms of safety, it gets ABS and Maruti Suzuki offered dual airbags as standard since Dec 2021

Since Suzuki is becoming a global car exporter its possible the car would get basic amenities like air conditioner as well as other creature comforts as standard. Since the car is supposed to be budget seller it would retain the basic design of the current model while at the same time it might receive differently tuned engine which provide it with better performance, since the car has to be offered CNG as well the car would have a robust engine which work with alternate fuel as well in the most efficient way.

The car records about 10K sales monthly and that also has to do with the fact that the car doesn’t have a close competitor the car as of now sells for about 4.6 lakh Rs. New gen would get a small price hike and would also help the Eeco report better sales numbers from now on.
