Maruti Suzuki is planning to expand its CNG product portfolio in the coming months. With the increasing fuel prices and expanding infrastructure for EVs.Still, people are not ready to switch completely to electric mobility. But if you want to save yourself from high fuel prices then CNG is the only way out. 

Maruti is also planning to offer all models retailed by their Arena chain of dealerships with a CNG selection. At present, models such as Presso, Alto, WagonR, Celerio, Ertiga, and Eeco are offered with a CNG Power station.

The largest car manufacturer in the Indian market is working on CNG variants of its three popular models Swift, Dzire, and Vitara Brezza. All the specifications and features of the upcoming Maruti Vitara Brezza CNG were spread on the internet.

Maruti Vitara Brezza CNG Specification

As per reports, the Maruti Vitara Brezza will come with a 1.4 liter K15B petrol engine with a factory-fitted CNG kit. The engine produces 104 PD of max power and a peak torque output of 138 Nm of peak torque.

This figure is when the engine is running on petrol. On CNG, the power output decreases to 92 Ps of maximum power, and torque decreases to 122 Nm of torque. It will be paired to a 5- speed gearbox along with interdependent ECU’s an intelligent injection system.

Just like other S-CNG variants, the Vitara Brezza is also expected to be sold in VXi trim with CNG.
The CNG variant will sit higher than the regular VXi variant as it should cost around Rs 80,000 to Rs 90,000 more than the regular VXi variant.


Maruti Swift, Dzire CNG Specification

Maruti Swift, Dzire’s new CNG model will feature the 1.2-liter DualJet K12C petrol engine with a factory-fitted CNG kit. The gasoline engine will produce a top power output of 82bhp and 113Nm of torque.

While running in CNG mode, the power and torque figures will drop by 18Nm and 11bhp respectively. The CNG will produce 70bhp of power at 6,000rpm and a peak torque of 95Nm at 4,000rpm.
