We currently have a list of the most popular cars sold during the joyful month of October. Seven of the top ten selling automobiles in India were sold by the automaker Maruti Suzuki, which dominated the sales rankings. Comparing October 2021 to today, the company experienced a 29% yearly increase. In October, more than 20,000 Maruti Altos were sold, making it the most popular vehicle on the market.
Maruti Suzuki Alto
The Maruti Alto was sold 21,260 times by the company in October. When compared to the 17,389 units sold in October 2021, the car’s sales increased by 22%. The recently released Alto K10 is to blame for the increase in sales.
Maruti Suzuki Wagon R
With sales of around 18,000 units, the Maruti Wagon R is another popular vehicle on the list. Although its sales have greatly increased compared to previous year, its month-over-month (MoM) sales figure has decreased by somewhere about 2,000 units.
Maruti Suzuki Swift
Maruti Suzuki Swift sold 17,231 units in the month of October. The vehicle saw a significant increase of 88% last month, moving up to third place among all vehicles sold in India. One of the things propelling the rise is the introduction of the CNG variant.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno
Following with sales in the region of 17,000 units each were the Maruti Swift and Baleno. However, of the two, the Swift’s sales soared compared to September 2022, while the Baleno’s MoM figures fell.
In October 2022, sales of the SUV reached 13,767. Tata Nexon experienced excellent growth of 36% in comparison to 10,096 sale units in October 2021.
In October 2022, Hyundai sold 11,880 Cretas. When compared to the 6,455 sale units in October 2021, the SUV had an increase of 84$ year over year.
10,982 Punch SUVs were sold by Tata in October 2022. In the same month previous year, there were 8,453 sales.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga sales in October 2022 were 10,494 units, placing it as the 9th best-selling vehicle. However, sales of the MUV decreased from 12,923 units previous year.
Maruti Suzuki Vitara Breeza
Growth year over year for the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Breeza was 24%. In comparison to October 2021, when 8,032 units were sold, October 2022 saw a sales increase to 9,941 units.
