While KTM has already brought in the market their new RC 390, the company now seems to be in the pursuit to being in the new updated iteration of the Duke 390. The Bikes have been few of the most exported bikes form India to outer countries all the bikes are manufactured in Pune facility established and owned by Bajaj.
Test Mule Spotted
The New gen was earlier spotted testing In Europe and has been recently spotted in India as well, the bike was spotted earlier in a pre-production state fully finished forms under a fully camouflaged form. The Front fascia of new-gen 390 Duke has been updated with a more aggressive headlamp. The bike has newly designed tank shrouds which reshape the styling of the bike. The tail section of the bike is still aggressively and pretentiously up swept and follows the same design language as the 190 duke.
New Changes To The Bike
The bike now comes with an cast aluminum sub frame similar to large capacity dukes with a new more asymmetrical unit, several features have been borrowed over from the new updated RC as well like the light weight alloy wheels. The bike has been given a underbelly exhaust which enhances it sporty profile.
New TFT Display
New-gen KTM 390 Duke will have an updated TFT display with revised layout. It can now display more information, as compared to the one used with current model Some new connectivity features could also be on the cards. Another update could be emergency brake light system, which activates during hard braking. In this situation, all indicators are flashed at the same time to warn other road users.
Performance Specifications
While the engine casing seems new, it is not certain if there will be any direct performance improvements. The current model is powered by a 373.2cc liquid cooled motor that generates max power of 43.5 hp and peak torque of 37 Nm. It is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The engine is integrated with a quick shifter and slipper clutch.
With all such improvements the price might turn north of the current gen price.
