On march the 26th one of the OLA s1 Pro
scooter caught fire in Pune and later on several such incidents took place with scooters from different EV manufacturers sparking concerns over EV batteries, which led to a voluntary recall announced by OLA of about 1441 OLA scooters from the same batch as that of the one that caught fire. Ola regarded it as a preemptive step to safeguard people against battery hazards.
Dubey being the Chief marketing officer restrained his visibility in the matters off facing media before leaving. Ola electric is also dealing with complaints against software glitches which caused the scooter to reverse on its own , while the rider wanted to accelerate .all these have been fueling a question as to what kind of product testing does Ola rely upon.
While the brand is under severe speculation , such abrupt departure of its top Professionals from its league do not help its case, OLA is also under a probe instigated by the government behind the cause of EV scooters fire. Ola Itself has also launched a probe to investigate the matter the best they can.
