American Electric Vehicle manufacturer Tesla is ready to launch its first EV in India this year. For that, it has started making preparations in India.
As a part of its preparation, the company has already registered itself in Bengaluru earlier this year.
According to a report published by the Economic Times, the company is now establishing its office in the Lower Parel-Worli area in Mumbai. The company has also decided to establish its production facility in Karnataka.
“Tesla India is moving full speed ahead with building a local team. We are excited to see the progress. Hoping to see you (Musk) in India when Tesla delivers the first cars,” Tesla Club India said in a tweet on Wednesday.
American EV maker Tesla was last week invited by the Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari to start production in India.
At The Raisina Dialogue 2021, the union minister said that it is a golden opportunity for the company to start manufacturing in India.
