Skoda Slavia is yet to be tested by the GNCAP for its safety rating but a recent crash seems to have brought its safety quotient out for the people . In a recent crash a Skoda Slavia rear ended XUV 700 while on a nominal speed and brought its build quality in to light . This could be the first ever recorded accident of the Skoda Slavia.
While the full details haven’t surfaced yet ,but according to the video it seems that both the cars were traveling in the same direction when the Xuv 700 took heavy brakes all of a sudden due to some issue . carrying on behind the car ,the Skoda Slavia as well failed to take brakes at the right time and rear ended the Xuv 700.
In the video, we can see that the bonnet of the Skoda Slavia is badly crumpled, while the headlamps, front bumper and grille are broken due to the collision. Luckily, the impact is nicely absorbed by the car, as we can see that the damage has not reached the pillars and the panels of the Slavia beynd them.
Skoda Slavia’s Airbags did not deploy
The Skoda Slavia involved in the accident seems to be in the top spec , as it has a sunroof as well. These top spec variants come with six airbags while in this case none of them deployed.
Its possible this happened because the crash happened at a slow speed and both the cars didn’t crash into each other with high velocity. The slavia showcases brilliant strength and design by carrying forward the energy of the impact and dissipating it away from the vehicle. This meant that the passenger cabin didn’t show even a single sign of impact.
