The highly-anticipated new generation Suzuki Hayabusa 2021 has finally arrived in the Indian market. The company launched the bike in the country at Rs 16.40 lakhs (Ex-showroom). The new model is Rs 3 lakhs costlier than the old one. The price of the previous model was Rs 13.75 lakhs (ex-showroom). Suzuki has retuned the Hayabusa, which now looks more stylish and trendy. Moreover, the new model has shed 2 kgs.

‘Suzuki at your doorstep’
The booking amount for the new Suzuki Hayabusa 2021 is Rs 1 lakh. You can book your own through ‘Suzuki at your Doorstep’ facility. However, amid the COVID-19 situation in the country, Suzuki says in its official website that it is not providing door step test ride/delivery or service in containment/red zones.
Suzuki Hayabusa 2021: What’s New?
Suzuki Hayabusa 2021 comes packed with an upgraded engine but there is no turbocharger or supercharger on the engine. What makes it the new generation ‘quickest Hayabusa ever’ is the fact that the company has retuned for its torque delivery. However, the power and torque have dropped. The 1,340cc liquid-cooled four-cylinder engine generates a maximum power of 187 hp and a peak torque of 150 Nm.
In comparison, the previous generation Hayabusa produced 194 bhp and 154 Nm. The engine is still connected to a 6-speed gearbox. It uses new connecting rods, injectors, updated cams, revised crankshaft and lighter pistons. Overall, the performance improves but the fuel efficiency has also dropped from 21.5 kmpl to 18.06 kmpl.
Suzuki Hayabusa 2021 gets a host of features including a cruise control system for long distance journeys. For hills, a Hill Hold Control system allows the motorcycle to roll easily. Furthermore, the bike also gets a slope dependent control system, Active Speed limiter combined brake system and motion track brake system. All of these safety features protects the rider. The bike also features a Suzuki Easy Start system and a launch control system.
Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) provides different riding modes. Three factory driving modes (A: Active, B: Basic, and C: Comfort) and three user driving modes(U1, U2, U3) are also available. The riding modes alter the Bi-directional Quick Shift systems, Motion Track Traction Control, Engine Brake Control, Power Mode Selector and, Anti-lift Control.
Talking about the instrument cluster, Suzuki Hayabusa 2021 retains Hayabusa’s iconic four analogue clusters. However, with an update, the bike now has a larger TFT screen.
The wheelbase of the motorcycle remains the same at 1480mm. However, the ground clearance and seat height are now slightly less than 120mm and 800mm. Also, the new bike gets LED daytime running lights along with LED headlamp.
