Tata has launched the 2021 Tata Altroz iTurbo model in India. The car is priced at Rs. 7.73 lakh, Rs. 60, 000 up from the price of its regular petrol variants.
The car is a new turbo petrol version of the premium hatchback. It will be available in three variants, XT, XZ, and XZ+trim. Besides the Altroz iTurbo model, the homegrown automaker has also launched XZ+ variants for the regular petrol and diesel option.
The iTurbo variants will additionally offer some extra features, including a new Sport Mode option. Besides this, the company has also launched its connected car system iRA for the Altroz range. It will be available with the top-end XZ+ variant cars.
The 1.2-liter 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine run the new Altroz iTurbo. According to the company, the engine has been adapted for the iTurbo.
As per the explanation given by the company, ‘i’ in iTurbo stands for intelligent. The powertrain of the car produces 108bhp at 5500 rpm and generates a torque of 140 Nm between 1500-5500 rpm.
Same as the regular Altroz, the engine of Altroz iTurbo has a 5-speed manual gearbox. According to the company, an automatic option may soon be launched.
The company says that the Altroz iTurbo catches the speed of 0-100 kmph within 11.9 seconds. The car offers a mileage of 18.13 kmpl as MIDC cycle.
The company will continue its cars powered by the 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine and the 1.2-liter diesel engine.
