The “Red Dark” variant of the Harrier and Safari, which were initially presented at the Auto Expo 2023 last month, will soon be available in the Indian market. A teaser for the impending Red Dark version of the Vehicles has now been released by the firm on its official social media accounts, indicating that a launch will happen very soon.
The inclusion of the Nexon in the teaser, which indicates that the sub-compact SUV would also receive special treatment, is the major surprise. About the upcoming special edition versions of the three SUVs, the outside paint job will probably be all-black with contrasting red accents on the grille and brake callipers. On the inside, crimson seats, door grab handles, and other interior features are to be anticipated.
The Safari and Harrier Red Dark were shown off at the 2018 Auto Expo with a new 10.25-inch touchscreen entertainment system, which will take the place of the two SUVs’ present, somewhat antiquated 7.0-inch device. In addition, the Red Dark version has a 360-degree camera, a new completely digital instrument cluster, and ADAS safety technology. Be aware that other SUV variations now provide similar amenities as well.
It is not yet known if the Nexon Red Dark version will provide any additional features. Nevertheless, neither of the three SUVs’ powertrains are anticipated to undergo any alterations. The same 2.0-liter Kryotec diesel engine that powers the two automobiles’ basic variants will be made available for the Tata Harrier and Safari Red Dark. This engine comes with a 6MT or a 6AT and has a 170 PS and 350 Nm torque output.
The Nexon, on the other hand, is available with a 1.5-liter diesel engine that produces 110 PS and 260 Nm and a 1.2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that produces 120 PS and 170 Nm of torque. A 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed AMT are also available as transmissions. No mechanical modifications are anticipated because Tata Motors has upgraded its complete lineup to conform with the impending RDE regulations.
