Tata after making sure the media stood on their toes for the big reveal has finally launched the Tata Nexon EV max , the car is definitely a improvement over the more conventional Nexon Ev which as on sale till now. With improvements in the overall range in a single charge as well as a slew of new features the Nexon EV max is all ready to rule the EV segment. According to the Av of the launch about 25,000 Tata EV’s have been sold in India as private vehicles 19000 of them are actually Nexon EV’s. The car is aimed at customers who validly would want to switch to EV’s but couldn’t due to the intercity Range anxiety , well now they can with an improved range of about 437 km’s on a single charge.

This SUV offers more range, more power, and faster charging while improving the overall driving efficiency, providing an uncompromised EV ownership experience.”
Ziptron Technology

The new NExon EV is powered by the Tata’s Ziptron technology and would be made available in two variants the XZ+ THE XZ+LUX. The car has also brought with it new shades of future which would be proprietary to the Nexon Max these are the Intesi Teal, Daytona Grey and pristine white. The car is equipped with a 40.5 KWh lithium ion battery pack. The battery capacity is about 33% more than the conventional Nexon EV. The ARAI certified range declared is 437km’s.

Power Specifications
The Tata Nexon EV churns out 143 Ps and 250 Nm of peak torque. Nexon EV Max is quick and it can do 0-100 kmph sprint in just under 9 seconds. Tata Nexon EV Max will be available with options of a 3.3 kW charger or a 7.2 kW AC fast charger. The 7.2 kW AC fast charger can be installed where ever the customer might want. The 7.2 kW AC charger would take around 6.5 hours to fully charge the vehicle. Other than this Nexon EV also supports 50 kW DC charging which takes around 56 minutes to charge the Nexon EV Max from 0-80 percent.

New Features In The Interior
The Interiors of the new Nexon max have received several updates as well , including revamped center console with what Tata called a jeweled rotary dial for choosing different driving modes, the car also gets hill hold assist , electric parking brakes as well as regen modes that the driver can use according to their driving style . The front seats get air ventilation systems , with a new plush makarana beige tinge. The car also gets air purifier system , wireless phone charging , auto diming IRVM’s and Cruise control with ESP with V-BAC.

ESP with i-VBAC (intelligent – Vacuum-less Boost & Active Control) would help the dirve keeping the balance intact in the car even while driving on slippers surfaces. , Hill Hold, Hill Descent Control, Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Vehicle Hold and all 4-Disc brakes.
Tata has worked their magic on this machine with profound engineering that has resulted into the same boot space in the car as it was before with a smaller battery pack. plus a weight distribution of about 50:50 which is hard to achieve.The car being developed on a platform which allows the floor to be redesigned and used for battery storage helps in keeping a low center of gravity which would ,make the vehicle way more stable and spirited to drive.
