Tata Punch Hits Pole In A Terrible Accident, Could It All Save Its Occupants? (Video)

Published Date:

GNCAP might provide its safety ratings based on its decisive norms but the real safety quotient of the cars is presented in front of the people when the car actually suffers an accident. As sad as it might be but the reality is that some time’s even in 5 star safety rated cars causalities take place. But that wouldn’t be the case with TATA who as a manufacturer seems to have managed to ace the vehicle safety department with every offering.

Tata Punch proves its build quality

Recently a TATA punch went into an accident at debogarh boiragimoth near a radio station where after hitting the pole it sufficiently took its impact on the roof as well as on the front of the car without succumbing to the impact. The cars cabin as well as the rear hatch remained intact even after such a high velocity impact.

The cars airbags were deployed and the ingenious engineering of Tata really showed its true colors during the impact. There were no causalities reported everyone was reported to be safe. The car actually without getting bogged down by the weight of the pole supported it with its intact structure.

Tata GNCAP Safety Ratings

The Tata punch scored a 5 star adult occupant safety rating and a 4 star child occupant safety rating, which for a budget hatch back format is a tremendous achievement. As in crashes like the one reported above by Nikhil Rana such cars prove the profound engineering that went into providing such strength to the steel c of the car and its cabin in such confined corners as well as the structure of the car.

Safety precautions while driving cars

Although cars might be safety rated it, but should always be the driver’s responsibility to drive safely as well as adhere to the traffic rules stipulated. Always carry a safety kit in the car that might be useful in the scenario of a crash. As we are right now facing hot weathers in India before a long journey always check tire pressure and prefer nitrogen for tires. In case of a long journey on highways without stops, deflate tires as the air expands when hot and might result in a burst tire.
