Tata Punch proves it’s the safest car in real world, flips but occupants escape with minor bruises

Tata Punch has become one of the most popular and highest selling cars in India in a short span of time, thanks to its unique styling and promising level of safety with a coveted 5-star rating at the Global NCAP crash tests. Now, a major accident involving a Tata Punch car has proved that it’s the safest car in real world.

A video uploaded by a YouTube channel named Nikhil Rana shows a major accident involving a Tata Punch in Gujarat.

Witnesses say the car hit a divider on a highway and it was being driven at a speed of 120 km/h.

It is believed that the car flipped several times and then stopped in an overturned state. However, the exact reason behind the accident is still unknown.

Thankfully, all the five occupants, including the driver have escaped with minor injuries. The video shows the Tata Punch is badly damaged on all sides.

The impact was such that even one of the two rear tyres flew off. But, the frame absorbed the impact very well.

The Tata Punch involved in this crash appears to be top-spec Creative variant. The Creative version of the micro-SUV offers safety features such as dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX mounts for child seats, brake sway control, reverse parking sensors and a rear view camera.
