New Delhi: The wait is finally over as Tata Motors has unveiled its new electric vehicle – the Tata Tigor EV in the form of a compact sedan. Tata Tigor EV with Ziptron technology has been unveiled after the launch of the Nexon EV in 2020.
If you want to prebook the new Tata Tigor EV, you can head to select Tata Motors dealerships and the booking amount is Rs 21,000.
The Tata Tigor EV is wrapped in a Teal Blue colour. Tata Motors will reveal the price and range during the vehicle’s official launch, which will take place soon.

Tata Tigor EV specs
The new car offers a maximum power of 55 kW and a peak torque of 170 Nm. The Tata Tigor EV is capable of doing a sprint from 0 to 60 kmph in just 5.7 seconds. The car packs a 26 kWh lithium- ion battery.

The Tigor EV features an IP67 rated battery and motor for weather resistance and offers an 8-year, 160,000km battery and motor warranty. It is based on a platform with a rear collision compatible structure and also meets the ODB 64 test standard.

The Tata Tigor EV’s impact resistant battery box meets the AIS-048 standard for cell level nail penetration. The electric vehicle also supports the globally acceptable CCS2 charging protocol and can be charged quickly and slowly from any 15A plug point.
The car also packs more than 30 connected vehicle features, including remote controls and remote diagnostics.
What Tata Motors said about EVs?
