Car enthusiasts show us some really cool and innovative ideas to conceptualize digital versions of popular and people’s favourite vehicles. Here is a rendering showing a sedan version of the Tata Altroz, one of the most popular premium hatchbacks in India.
Notably, the Tata Altroz, a direct rival to Hyundai i20, is the only car in its segment to win a 5-star safety rating at the Global NCAP.
Tata Altroz ranked second in the sales charts, while Maruti Baleno retains the first spot. So, how about a sedan version of Tata Altroz? Well, if Tata ever decides to bring it to market, here is how it could look like.
Tata Altroz Sedan Version
SRK Designs, known for creating some amazing iterations of popular cars, has conceptualized the design. The front looks identical to the original car but as you move towards the rear, you will see the changes.
The C-pillar has been slightly changed and the window line has been stretched to the rear windshield. A sleep chrome belt goes under the windows and extends to the rear.
The door handle can be seen on the rear door, instead of the C-pillar on the original Altroz. The alloy wheels also differ from those of the Altroz.
The rear overhang and fender have been well integrated into the body design. It doesn’t seem like they were added later. The taillights are sharp and extend to the side profile a bit.
Specifications
The engine options remains the same including a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine capable of churning out 86 PS and 113 Nm.
Another option is a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine which delivers 110 PS and 140 Nm, while a 1.5-litre diesel engine produces 90 PS and 200 Nm.
All the variants of the Altroz come with a sole 5-speed manual gearbox. The prices of the Tata Altroz start from Rs 5.89 lakh and goes up to Rs 9.64 lakh, ex-showroom.
