Toyota India after teasing their new offering regularly through media outlets has finally launched it, the new Urban cruiser Hydrer would be Toyota’s most affordable SUV in the Indian market. Toyota has played their final reveal smartly while keeping the prices of the SUV locked up in their vault and to be revealed later on. The car would have to compete a close battle against the like’s of Hyundai Creta, KIA Seltos , Tata Harrier and Mahindra Scorpio as well.
The All new Toyota Urban Crusier Hydrer follows a completely new design language unlike the one seen before the car looks aggressive and sits tall, its stance as well as stature gives it a beefier look. The new Urban Cruiser Hydrer’s front-end gets a new crystal acrylic pattern that extends to become the twin-DRLs. The main cluster lamp is located down below in the bumper. Even the rear gets sleek LED tail lamps that look very similar to the twin DRLs.
The Urban Cruiser Hyryder will offer dual-tone alloy wheels. However, Toyota is yet to reveal its size. Toyota has not talked about the dimensions of the new Urban Cruiser Hydrer as well.
The cabin of the new car has dual tone interior with soft touch inserts on the dash, the car gets wireless charging , ambient lighting as well as a freestanding infotainment system with a 360’camera. Toyota also offers connected tech with their car which allows the driver to control specific functions of the car through their phone.

Toyota Hydrer’s brochure just surfaced on the internet and here are all the details about the specifications as well as the features available in the different models it seems the car would have two variants the Neo drive as well as the Hybrid.The cars engine would be provided in two state of tunes the lower set of tune would provide about 92.4 PS with 122NM Torque and the the Higher tune would churn out about 101.9ps with 135nm torque. The new Toyota Urban Cruiser offers an all-hybrid terrain. It draws power from a 1.5-litre K-Series petrol engine. Toyota also offers an EV mode that allows the car to run only on electric power. Toyota also has an AWD system with the Urban Cruiser Hydrer which is a segment-first feature. There are various drive modes available with the all-new Hydrer. higher variants of the Hydrer would be powered by a petrol hybrid motor which provides 92 hp and 122 Nm and an electric motor that delivers 79 hp and 141 Nm. When mated, peak performance stands at 115 hp and 141 Nm. This version of the power train will be exclusively mated to an eCVT automatic gearbox. HYBRID variants would not get AWD as well. The strong HYBRID system is self charging and is mated to a 177.6V Lithium ION battery. This setup can power the SUV down the road till 25km’s
Toyota is yet to reveal details on the transmission of the new car. Toyota has also not shared details on the launch of the vehicle or bookings. The brand is likely to do a price announcement by the festive season.
Just like Toyota Suzuki is yet to bring in a new offering in the market which would be the same car with a little bit of badge engineering.
