TVS is all set to bring in the market its new cruiser that it already showcased in the 2018 AutoExpo, the bike was then see with a new engine but now according to a new Media report the bike would be launched in the market with the Apache RTR engine. Although Cruisers motorcycles really hasn’t been the bike of choice for TVS as till now the manufacturer focused on sporty commuter bikes.
The bike would now be powered by the TVS Apache RTR 200 4v’s Engine . Apache’s 197.7 cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected, single-cylinder produces 20.82 PS of max power and 17.25 Nm of peak torque. However, Apache also comes with different riding modes. The power output mentioned above is in Sport mode. In Urban and Rain mode, the power is decreased to 17.32 PS and torque falls to 16.51 Nm. Having said that,is also possible that TVS might give it the Apache rr310.
TVS To Launch Two Variants
Sharing the engine would allow TVS to price the bike competitively against the competition. It would also allow TVS to be competitive against their rival in the pricing strategy as the cruiser market segment has been a pretty big one with close competitors. The bike showcased in the expo had golden colored USD forks as well as a beige finish on the tank. here are high chances that TVS would offer two variants of the Zeppelin R. The lower variant would come with a single-channel ABS while the higher variant will come with a dual-channel ABS. Suspension duties on the concept were done by up-side down forks in the front and a mono-shock at the rear. The mono-shock can make it to the production model.
The bike would seriously have to pull up it’s a game to shake things up in the cruiser segment as its pretty jam packed already with bikes from almost every manufacturer. But the Innovation from TVS would definitely help the brand make its mark.
