The vehicle wears a look similar to the 7-seater Tiguan Allspace. Its rear is also similar to the Allspace.
It also gets a new set of 18-inch alloy wheels. Powered by a new 2-litre turbo-petrol TSI engine, the vehicle promises to produce 190PS of power and 320Nm of torque.
The engine is coupled with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The vehicle offers an all-wheel-drive system as its 4MOTION. It is available with the vehicle as a standard system.
Inside, the vehicle doesn’t offer big changes. It gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a touchscreen interface for the AC control, panoramic sunroof, leather seats, ambient lighting, and a three-zone climate control system.
The Tiguan is equipped with driver assistance and safety system and offers six airbags, ABS, hill start assist and hill descent control, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and driver alert system to its occupants.
Volkswagen Tiguan may start at Rs 26 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with vehicles, including Hyundai Tucson and the Jeep Compass.
