Maruti Suzuki enjoyed monopoly alike demand for the Vitara Brezza until the likes of Hyundai Venue as well as KIA Sonet rolled up to the scene , the competition now in the compact SUV segment has heated up. With both the companies planning a mid production cycle freshen up facelift for their cars which one would outsell the other ,would remain to be the question of the hour. We have compiled a list of challenges the Maruti Suzuki Brezza would face against the Hyundai Venue facelift.
Hyundai has always provided a superior build quality with their products and quite a lot of their cars have scored brilliant scores in NCAP tests for adult as well as child occupancy. While Suzuki has been highly critiqued in the past for providing a inferior quality with their products to slash down the kerb weight further. While a recent test of the urban cruiser proved that the new production spec vehicles from Maruti would perform better in providing safety against collisions , people might still prefer more robust Hyundai Venue.
Lack Of Turbo engine
While Hyundai has a turbo engine on offer offer its N line sport vehicles Maruti doesn’t, and with there being reports of Hyundai planning to launch a n-line version of the venue as well Suzuki would seriously miss a turbo engine in their lineup. Although Suzuki Engines are known to be peppy and provide substantial performance in the cities a swell as on highways but the lack of serious performance version with automatic options such as the 7 speed DCT on Hyundai Venue could seriously hurt the manufacturer.
while the Vitara Brezza is about to be launched on 30th of june and dealers are already booking the vehicle ,Venue would be launched on 16th of june which would give Hyundai a jumpstart up in the delivering task of the vehicle. While Maruti Suzuki Brezza has been given a substantial makeover the car looks pretty similar to the older version of the Brezza. Even the Hyundai Venue has a similar look as the older Venue but Hyundai has given it completely new design elements such as a continuous rear tail lamp uniting both opposite sides of the rear end with vertical elements inside it.
