Yamaha’s EMF electric scooter was introduced after the unveiling of the EC-05 in 2019. It was built in partnership with the urban mobility company Gogoro, which offers many advantages such as a pre-engineered battery architecture and access to an extensive network of battery swapping stations.
Gogoro has partnered with Hero MotoCorp for electric vehicles and battery swapping infrastructure.
The Yamaha EMF scooter is totally unique from regular electric scooters in this segment. It offers futuristic looks and aggressive styling that targets the Generation Z.
Yamaha EMF electric scooter price
The price of the Yamaha EMF electric scooter starts from NT$102,800 (approximately Rs 2,77,000). The company has not revealed whether the scooter will be launched in India. Colour options on offer are in Dark Black, Dark Green, and Light Blue.

Yamaha EMF features
Yamaha EMF electric scooter features a flat front apron with a chiselled profile, single-piece seat, dual LED headlights, trendy rear-view mirrors, digital instrument console and afterburner-styled dual LED taillights.

A small storage space at the centre of the floorboard can be used for cups, bottles, keys, etc. The scooter can be switched on or off using an NFC card.
One can access the scooter’s connectivity options through the Yamaha app. These include the fleet management system, last parking location and turn-by-turn navigation.
According to Yamaha, the EMF scooter was designed to achieve improved control and handling. The suspension system consists of upright front forks and dual rear shock absorbers.

The Yamaha EMF electric scooter gets 200mm disc brakes up front and a 190mm disc at the rear and comes with CBS for efficient braking.
Yamaha EMF power
The Yamaha EMF electric scooter packs a mid-mounted motor capable of churning out 10.30ps of maximum power at 3,000 rpm and a peak torque of 26 Nm at 2,500 rpm.

The company claims it can do a sprint of 50 kmph in a matter of 3.5 seconds and can achieve the top speed of around 100 kmph.
Battery swapping
Apparently, the full range of the scooter has not been revealed. However, because it is based on Gogoro’s extensive battery swapping network, one can visit the battery swapping network and easily get their battery changed.

As per the estimate, about 97% of electric two-wheelers in Taiwan rely on Gogoro’s battery swapping.
