During the present Osaka Motorcycle Show 2023, Yamaha introduced a limited-edition MT125. This model is brimming with extras that are likely to be in the motorcycle’s inventory. Having said that, we may also anticipate the international version of the MT15 to acquire these accessories, which may or may not make it to India.
The first feature is the windscreen, which is short yet broad, comparable to that of the MT10. The adjustable levers on the special edition MT125 are also anodized Yamaha Blue. In addition, it has an aluminium crankcase cover installed for added protection. Also, the MT125 comes with a rear fender eliminator kit. The full-system Akrapovic exhaust with a carbon-fiber tip, however, is the star of the show.
Apart from these extras, the MT125 Special has a new colour scheme that mixes Yamaha Blue and Cyan. Yamaha has also introduced technologies like traction control and TFT instrumentation to the MT125 for 2023.
Availability not now in India
While it is not offered in India and is unlikely to be sold here, the Yamaha MT-15, which receives traction control in its 2023 edition, is an option. In foreign markets, the 125cc performance commuter sector is fairly crowded, therefore the MT125 competes with the KTM 125 Duke, Honda CB125, Kawasaki Z125, and Suzuki GSX125.
