Amravati: In a disturbing turn of events, tourists at Chikhaldara, a popular tourist destination in Amravati district, have been engaging in life-threatening stunts at Hariken Point. Despite restricted access, some visitors have been captured on video performing dangerous photography stunts, sitting on rocks at the edge of cliffs that drop hundreds of feet.

The videos, obtained by Zee 24 Taas, show tourists risking their lives by posing for photographs on precarious rocks overlooking deep ravines. The heavy rainfall in the area has attracted thousands of tourists to Chikhaldara for leisure and sightseeing. However, the reckless behavior of some individuals, who venture dangerously close to the cliff edges for photos, poses a significant risk of slipping and falling into the deep gorge.

Despite the influx of tourists and the apparent dangers, neither the Forest Department nor local authorities have taken any measures to curb these hazardous activities. The lack of intervention raises concerns about the safety of visitors and the potential for tragic accidents.

Tourists are urged to exercise caution and prioritize their safety over risky photo opportunities. Authorities need to enforce stricter regulations to prevent such dangerous behavior and ensure the safety of all visitors at Chikhaldara.
