Bangalore Bomb Threat Emails: Arrest Made in Scare Tactics!
In a dramatic turn of events, the Bangalore police have arrested a 48-year-old man linked to a series of bomb threat emails sent to various schools and colleges across the city. The incident, which caused quite a stir and panic in the community, finally met its match thanks to diligent police work!
The Scare That Shook Bangalore
On October 18, Police Commissioner B. Dayananda announced the arrest of the suspect, who had been sending chilling bomb threat emails to educational institutions in Hanumant Nagar and VVIPura. The police launched a thorough investigation, tracking the emails back to the man, who was ultimately apprehended in Salbari, Darjeeling District.
Caught Red-Handed
Authorities seized a laptop and a mobile phone from the accused, which they believe will provide critical evidence in the case. The individual has since been presented before a local court, where he was granted bail. However, a notice has been issued against him, and it has come to light that he has also sent similar threat emails to ten other locations in West Bengal.
Not Just Bombs: A Drug Bust Too!
In a separate but equally concerning development, the Central Crime Branch (CCB) police in Bangalore have confiscated drugs worth ₹21.17 crore. The police reported that 12 cases have been registered in connection with this drug bust, leading to the arrest of three individuals.
Burglary Blues
Additionally, the Kodigehalli police have arrested two suspects related to a burglary case, recovering ₹70 lakh worth of gold jewelry linked to five registered cases across various stations in the city.
Ongoing Investigations
Meanwhile, investigations are wrapping up concerning a murder suspect named Darshan, who received VIP treatment while in Parappana Agrahara Jail. The charge sheet is almost complete, and police expect to file it in court shortly.
