Bengaluru, September 7: Bengaluru Traffic Police have issued an advisory restricting vehicle movement in and around Shivajinagar’s Russell Market on Sunday, September 8, due to the Arogya Mata Rathotsava event. The restrictions will be in effect from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Sunday.

Several key roads within the jurisdiction of the Shivajinagar Traffic Police Station will witness complete vehicular movement restrictions during the event. Here’s the list of affected routes:

The road from Jyothi Cafe Circle to Russell Market will be closed to all types of vehicles. Both directions of Broadway Road towards Russell Market will be inaccessible to vehicles. Vehicles moving towards Russell Market from Dharmaraja Koil Street to OPH Road will be halted at Taj Circle. BMTC buses and other vehicles heading towards Shivajinagar Bus Stand from BRV Junction will be diverted. All vehicles, including BMTC buses from Bale Kundi Circle to Shivajinagar Bus Stand, will face restrictions.
Alternative Routes:

BMTC buses from Anil Kumble Junction will take a left turn at BRV Junction and continue via CTO Circle, Clean Circle, and MG Road. Two-wheelers and light motor vehicles can take a right at BRV Central Street, proceed via Safina Plaza, Commercial Street, and Kamaraj Road. Alternatively, they can turn left at Select Junction and proceed via Ramada Hotel and VSN Road.
No Parking Zones:

Parking is prohibited around Russell Market, including Broadway Road, Meenakshi Koil Street, Central Street, Shivaji Road, and Cunningham Road.
Designated Parking Areas:

Vehicles can park at designated spots such as Kamaraj Road Service Road, Safina Plaza (Main Garden Road), RBANMS Ground (Gangadhar Chetty Road), and near Ramada Hotel (Old Congress Office, Plain Street). Motorists are advised to plan accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
