BENGALURU, Sept. 25 — A leopard that had been roaming through Electronic City, disturbing the peace of local residents, has finally been captured by forest department officials. The leopard was spotted crossing roads and causing fear among the community in this bustling industrial area, home to thousands of IT professionals.

The leopard's presence in Electronic City had created widespread anxiety, with videos circulating on social media showing the animal freely moving in public spaces. The forest department acted swiftly, deploying traps and setting up three baited cages to safely capture the animal.

Officials confirmed that preparations are underway to transfer the leopard to the Bannerghatta Biological Park, where it will be kept in a more suitable environment. The incident highlights ongoing human-wildlife conflicts as urban areas expand into natural habitats.
