Lucknow Techie Goes Missing in Bengaluru: Wife Appeals for Help After Mysterious Disappearance
Bengaluru/Lucknow: A 37-year-old techie from Lucknow, who had moved to Bengaluru for better job prospects, has mysteriously gone missing, leaving his family in a state of despair. Vipin Gupta, who worked at a company in Manyata Tech Park, was last seen on August 4. Since then, his whereabouts remain unknown, and his wife is urgently seeking assistance from the authorities.
Vipin, who had relocated to Bengaluru with hopes of a brighter future, disappeared after leaving his home around 12:44 PM. He was last spotted riding his Kawasaki bike and carrying a t-shirt. Shortly after he left, a sum of ₹1,80,000 was withdrawn from his bank account, and his phone was switched off, raising further concerns about his safety.
His wife, Sriparna Dutta, filed a missing person report at the Kodigehalli police station, but she claims the authorities have been slow to respond and have made little progress in locating her husband. Desperate for answers, Sriparna has taken to social media, sharing updates and pleading for help, including an emotional Facebook Live broadcast.
In her broadcast, Sriparna emphasized that Vipin had no addictions and was not suffering from depression. She mentioned that their family was financially stable and happy, dismissing any speculation about marital issues. Sriparna also pointed out that a recent mobile phone purchase could be linked to the withdrawn funds, but beyond that, she has no leads.
"My husband never drank or gambled," Sriparna said. "We had no financial issues and were a happy family. He was not a quarrelsome person and had no known problems. We are devastated and need help."
As days pass without any sign of Vipin, his family’s anxiety grows, and they continue to appeal for assistance in finding him.
