Swiggy, Zomato Increase Platform Fee In Big Cities
India's two online food giants, Zomato and Swiggy, have increased the platform fee to Rs 6 per order from Rs 5.

India's two online food giants, Zomato and Swiggy, have increased the platform fee to Rs 6 per order from Rs 5. The higher platform fee will be rolled out across the major cities including Delhi and Bengaluru.
Currently, the fee is charged in Delhi and Bengaluru, separate from other charges.
The fee helps food aggregators control costs and increase revenues.
In April, Zomato raised its platform fee by 25% to Rs 5 per order. Zomato introduced a platform fee of Rs 2 in August last year.
The food delivery platforms aim to generate Rs 1.25-1.5 crore daily.
