Unlocking Convenience: How to Easily Obtain Your E-Khata from Home Without Visiting BBMP in Bengaluru!

In a move set to make life easier for property owners in Bengaluru, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has launched a hassle-free e-Khata distribution system. Gone are the days of trekking to BBMP offices just to obtain your property records. Now, owners can download their e-khata from the comfort of their homes, thanks to this innovative, contactless service.

As of October 1, the e-Khata distribution system is officially live. Over 2.1 million property registrations have already been digitized into e-Khata format, streamlining the process significantly. Property owners can now simply head to the BBMP e-Aasthi portal at BBMPeAasthi.karnataka.gov.in to access their records.

To download their e-Khata, owners will need to provide some documentation, which includes the deed number of their property sale or registration, the Encumbrance Certificate (EC) number from April 1, 2004, the property tax application number, the BESCOM meter number, GPS data of the property, and photographs of the property. They must also submit documents confirming their property status as either ‘A’ or ‘B’ Khata.

In case of difficulties uploading documents online, property owners can visit the assistant revenue officer for assistance. Additionally, they have seven days to raise objections against the draft e-Khata before the final version is issued.
