Techie Alleges Sexual Assault by Co-Passenger on Express Train from Kerala to Chennai

CHENNAI: A woman working as a software professional in Chennai has alleged that she was sexually assaulted by a co-passenger while traveling on an express train from Kerala to Chennai. The incident reportedly occurred as the train was moving from Katpadi towards Chennai Central.

According to police sources, the woman did not file a formal complaint but reported the incident to the Government Railway Police (GRP) at Chennai Central after consulting with her colleagues and parents. Although she chose not to lodge an official complaint, a special police team has been formed to trace the suspect based on the description she provided.

The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to identify and apprehend the individual involved.
