Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot announced the trial launch of Delhi's neighborhood bus service that has began today.
The trial launch has started on two routes in national capital.
Gahlot, at a press conference, has revealed that the initiative will involve a fleet of 2,080 buses, with 1,040 operated by the DTC and the remainder by DIMTS.
"Starting the trial run on routes from Majlis Park to Pradhan Enclave and Akshardham to Mayur Vihar Phase III," Gahlot explained.
The trial period is set for one week, after which feedback will be used to improve the program.
Gahlot stressed that the bus service aims to alleviate last-mile connectivity challenges in the capital.
