Mumbai: A city resident has lodged a complaint against Amazon after ordering a high-end mobile phone and allegedly receiving tea cups instead.
Amar Chavan, a deputy engineer with the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) undertaking, reported to the police that he had ordered a Techno Phantom V Fold mobile phone on Amazon and paid ₹54,999 online on July 13. However, when his parcel arrived two days later, he was shocked to find six tea cups inside instead of the phone.
Chavan contacted Amazon and the seller to resolve the issue but did not receive a satisfactory response. Following this, he filed a complaint.
