Physically Fit Puja Khedkar Had Submitted Fitness Certificate While Joining Medical College

Puja Khedka, a trainee IAS officer from the Maharashtra cadre, is under scrutiny for multiple allegations involving the alleged misuse of her authority. Among the accusations, it has come to light that she submitted a fake fitness certificate to secure a seat at a private medical college in Pune.

Arvind Bhore, the director of Kashibai Navale Medical College, disclosed that despite being found mentally and physically fit, Khedka presented a falsified fitness certificate to the college. "She submitted certificates claiming NT (Nomadic Tribes) status from the Vanjari community, along with caste and non-creamy layer certificates," Bhore revealed during an interview with ABP Majha.

The 34-year-old IAS officer also faces allegations related to fraudulent practices during her civil services examination, including misrepresentation under physical disabilities and OBC categories.

An official statement indicated that all documents submitted by Khedka for her civil services examination and subsequent service selection will undergo re-examination by a committee appointed by the Centre.

In a related development, Pune police have issued a show-cause notice to Khedka's mother, Manorama, regarding the alleged misuse of a licensed firearm amid a dispute over a piece of land, as depicted in a viral video clip reportedly from 2023 that recently surfaced.
