Surat: Major Traffic Disruption As Metro Bridge Span Bends On Saroli-Kadodara Road

Surat: A significant traffic disruption occurred on the Saroli-Kadodara main road after a span of the metro bridge bent, prompting authorities to close the road for safety reasons.

The incident led to a massive traffic jam stretching over five kilometers yesterday. The closure of the main road has continued to cause severe congestion in various areas. To manage the situation, traffic police have been deployed extensively, and several roads in the city have been diverted.

Police Advisory and Measures

The traffic police have advised commuters to avoid traveling from Reshma Circle to Nehr Road due to the heavy congestion. Additional police teams are on the ground to manage the traffic flow, and entry for heavy vehicles into the city has been restricted.

Ongoing Repair Work

The repair work on the bent metro bridge span is expected to take another two days. Meanwhile, the overbridge remains closed, and diversions have been set up to ease the traffic situation.
