Surat News: Man arrested for killing lawyer wife in hotel room

Surat: In a shocking development, the Pal police have arrested Rohit, the husband of a female lawyer, for her murder. The couple, who had a love marriage a year and a half ago, had experienced significant marital discord leading to a divorce. Despite their separation, they had reconciled and resumed their relationship, but frequent arguments persisted.

On the day of the murder, Rohit took his wife for a walk at the Causeway. Later, they checked into a hotel room in the Pal area. It was there that a heated argument broke out between the two. In a fit of rage, Rohit used a knife he had with him to kill his wife.

Following the murder, Rohit attempted suicide by consuming sleeping pills and a disinfectant. He lost consciousness after taking more of the disinfectant in the morning.

Rohit's family, concerned about his whereabouts, filed a missing person's report at the police station. The investigation led to the tragic discovery.
