Telecommunication company Bharti Airtel came up with a free pack as a one time gesture for the low-income customers Sunday.
Airtel has announced to offer a recharge pack of Rs 49 for it’s more than 5.5 crore low income consumers. The announcement comes as the company visions to keep the natives connected amidst the coronavirus pandemic.
Bharti Airtel empowering customers in rural areas
The company states, “As a one-time gesture, Airtel will give ₹49 pack free of cost to over 55 million low-income customers. The pack offers a Talktime of ₹38 and 100 MB data with a validity of 28 days. Through this gesture, Airtel will empower over 55 million customers, mostly in rural areas. This will help them to stay connected and have access to critical information when needed.”
Also, targeting the low–income group benefits, which are worth Rs 270 crore would help them in getting along with the impact of COVID -19. Moreover, the company added that the customers who buy Rs 79 recharge coupon will be provided with double benefits.
The perks of the recent initiative by Airtel will be available for it’s pre-paid customers in the upcoming week.
Telecom company airtel now joins the list of companies that came up with digital tools to help the countrymen during the second wave of the pandemic. Meanwhile, the telecom had even initiated support initiatives for the customers via its digital platform.
Easily accessible resources regarding Covid support and other related information was made available in the Airtel Thanks App.
A statement by the telecom also said, “Airtel Thanks users can also book a vaccination slot for themselves and their loved ones through the app.”
As per the data of February, Airtel customers have increased to more than 34 crore all over the country.
