Cooking gas price rise by Rs 15: Check the rates here

The Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders were hiked Wednesday by Rs 15. The price rise applies across all the categories including subsidised gas. This is the fourth straight increase in rates in less than two months.

The new rate of 5kg cylinder now stands at Rs 502. The new rates come into effect from today itself.

Now the subsidised, as well as non-subsidised LPG, will cost Rs 899.50 per 14.2-kg cylinder in Delhi, as per ANI.

This week only, the subsidised and non-subsidised LPG rates were hiked by Rs 25 per cylinder.

The latest rise in subsidised LPG price now takes the cumulative rate hike since January 1 to Rs 205 per cylinder.

Moreover, the government policy provides for the supply of 12 cylinders of 14.2-kg each per household at subsidised or below-market rates.

Petrol price was also increased by 26-30 paise per litre; while diesel got increased by 34-37 paise a litre across the country.

There are around 1.60 million (16 lakhs) PNG consumers. And over 800,000 CNG customers are there in and around Mumbai.

CNG price in Delhi was also increased by Rs 2.28 per kg. While the piped cooking gas supplied to households was hiked by Rs 2.10.
