Fuel prices shoot up amid hopes of strong economic recovery

Fuel prices are on record high after petrol price was hiked by up to 70 paise. While diesel prices went up by up to 27 paise.

Petrol in Delhi now costs Rs 87.60 per litre. And diesel is Rs 77.73 per litre in the national capital. However in Mumbai, the petrol price is nearing Rs 95 per litre mark. After today’s hike, petrol in Mumbai costs Rs 94.12 per litre, while diesel price now stands at Rs 84.63 paise.

Moreover, the Brent crude oil prices for April delivery reached $60 a barrel. This is the highest in a year supported by hopes of economic revival. Rising crude prices are expected to impact fuel prices rates in India.
