New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, while presenting her seventh budget in Parliament on Tuesday, stated that the 2024 Union Budget will lay the groundwork for future budgets. She emphasized nine priority areas that the Modi 3.0 government and subsequent administrations will focus on.
These nine priorities are:

"The Budget envisages sustained efforts on nine priority areas for generating ample opportunities for all. Future budgets will build on these priorities of the 2024 Budget," Sitharaman said.
Among these, the 2024 Budget will particularly emphasize four primary areas: employment, skilling, MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises), and the middle class. The Finance Minister announced that the government will introduce schemes aimed at benefiting 4.1 crore youth over the next five years, with a total outlay of ₹2 lakh crore.
Sitharaman further elaborated, saying, "In this budget, we particularly focus on employment, skilling, MSMEs, and the middle class.
