Nykaa founder Falguni Nayar is now India’s richest self-made woman promoter: Check Net Worth Here

Nykaa promoter and CEO Falguni Nayar has become India’s richest self-made woman promoter. She now has a net worth of nearly Rs 56,600 crore currently.

Now Falguni Nayar also holds the position of second wealthiest woman promoter in India. She just stands behind Savitri Jindal, chairman emeritus of O P Jindal group companies.
As per Bloom­berg’s billionaire list, Savitri Jindal is India’s richest woman promoter who has a net worth of around $12.9 billion.

Also, on Wednesday, FSN E-Commerce, the promoter company of Nykaa, closed with a market capitalisation of Rs 1.043 trillion. This is what makes it India’s 52nd biggest listed company.

As per current estimates, it is even ahead of the older and well-established firms such as Coal India, Hindalco Industries, Godrej Consumer and Bharat Petroleum Corpo­ration, among others.

Falguni Nayar, along with her family owns a 54.25 per cent stake in the company that makes her one of India’s wealthiest promoters.

Let us have a look at other businessmen in the overall top 10 billionaires’ List — HCL Technologies Shiv Nadar ($25.9 billion), Asian Paints promoter families, the Danis, Choksis and Vakils ($21.3 billion), Sun Pharma’s Dilip Shanghvi ($15 billion) and Airtel’s Sunil Mittal ($14.7 billion) and Sajjan Jindal of JSW Steel ($15.4 billion).

It was the FSN E-Commerce Ventures Ltd which had raised Rs 53.5 billion ($720 million) for Nykaa in the IPO and saw shares rise 96 per cent on its first day of trading, making Falguni Nayar a record holder.

Falguni Nayar founded her company, which also runs Nykaa in 2012. She has previously worked in investment banking and guided other entrepreneurs through the IPO process.

This is the time when India is going to be a huge retail market. Now with an increase in the purchasing power, Indians will also aspire for more, hence enhanced lifestyle choices will be a direct outcome of this curve.
