Petrol price today increased by 19 to 25 paise per litre across India. This comes as international oil prices soar to a three-year high on September 28.
This remains the first increase in fuel price after July 17, as per a price notification by state-run oil companies.
Diesel price was also hiked by 24 to 27 paise per litre. This remains the fourth increase since last week.
Prices of petrol increased by 21 paise in Mumbai. This has now revised the retail price of the fuel to Rs 107.47 per litre.
Diesel price in Maharashtra, also increased by 27 paise and sold at Rs 97.21 per litre in Mumbai.
In Delhi also, fuel prices witnessed a similar trend. As petrol and diesel prices increased in Delhi by 20 and 25 paise, respectively. This now revised the retail price of petrol to Rs 101.39 per litre and of diesel to Rs 89.57 per litre.
The petrol price increased in Kolkata also. A litre of the fuel retails at Rs 101.87, with an increase of 25 paise.

While Diesel price also witnessed a hike of 25 paise in West Bengal’s capital and retailed at Rs 92.67 per litre.
When it comes to Chennai, the city saw an increase of 19 paise in petrol prices. This takes its rate to Rs 99.15 per litre. Diesel price also revised to Rs 94.17 per litre in Chennai, up 24 paise from the previous day.
Crude oil prices touched nearly a three-year high. This comes as the global output disruptions force energy companies to draw more crude oil out of their stockpiles.
