Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft, took to LinkedIn to pay tribute to Ratan Tata, praising his visionary leadership and immense contribution to India and the world. Gates expressed his admiration for Tata, recalling their meetings and collaborations on various initiatives aimed at improving lives globally.

“Ratan Tata was a visionary leader whose dedication to improving lives left an indelible mark on India—and the world. I had the privilege of meeting him on several occasions, and I was always moved by his strong sense of purpose and service to humanity,” Gates wrote in his post.

The two iconic leaders had partnered on numerous philanthropic efforts, working together to make the world a healthier and more prosperous place. Gates emphasized that Tata's legacy will continue to inspire generations, stating, “His loss will be felt around the world for years to come, but I know the legacy he left and example he set will continue to inspire generations.”

Their last meeting took place during Gates' visit to India in 2023, where he presented Tata with copies of his books, How to Prevent the Next Pandemic and How to Avoid a Climate Disaster.

Sundar Pichai's Tribute to Ratan Tata

Like Bill Gates, Google CEO Sundar Pichai also paid tribute to Ratan Tata. In a heartfelt post on X (formerly Twitter), Pichai remembered their last meeting and highlighted Tata's inspiring vision. He recalled how they discussed Google's autonomous driving technology, Waymo, and how Tata's insights left a lasting impression.

Pichai expressed deep admiration for Tata’s contribution to India's business landscape and his philanthropic endeavors. "He leaves an extraordinary business and philanthropic legacy and was instrumental in mentoring and developing modern business leadership in India. He deeply cared about making India better," Pichai wrote.

Both Gates and Pichai highlighted Ratan Tata’s profound impact on the world, not just as a business leader, but as a humanitarian who devoted his life to making a difference.
