Bharat Bandh: Osmania University postpones exams

The examination schedule for December 8, 2020, was postponed by Osmania University.

This comes as a result of Bharat Bandh called by the farmers protesting against the new farm laws. The Authority of the University has confirmed this.

According to the official notice, all exams for December 8 have been postponed, and all the exams from December 9 onwards will be held as per the original schedule issued by the university.

“All examinations scheduled on 8th Dec under Osmania University jurisdiction have been postponed due to #BharatBandh. The revised schedule will be given in due course of time. Examinations scheduled from 9th Dec will be held as per schedule,” the notice stated.
According to the notice, the schedule for the postponed exams will soon be announced. Students are advised to keep an eye on for new exam schedule on the website of the University.

Exams postponed due to Bharat Bandh

Not only Osmania University but also Institute the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) postponed the exams scheduled for December 8, 2020. The institutes’ decisions to postpone the exams come as an apparent result of the Bharat Bandh that was called by the farmers protesting against the new farm laws. As many as 40 farmers’ unions from across the country have supported this nationwide strike. The new farm laws were passed by the central government early this year.
